Hi guys. Sorry for being silent for so long. Not really a journal writing person, me.
Just thought I'd update this a bit, tell you some things about what has been happening here lately.
As some of you might already know, I got a full-time job now, since November actually. It's eating quite a lot of my time, so that's why there are fewer submissions and even fewer words from me.
It's a bit sad to not have as much time for drawing as I used to, but I'm trying to make the best of it and try improving my skills more in the time that I have. For example, I started with some classes on Skillshare. It's fun, and a (comparatively) cheap way to learn new and interesting things! I'm really enjoying it, although (obviously) my project process is very slow.
My webcomic Behind the Obsidian Mirror on smackjeeves is still running, after a month long hiatus that I took over the end of the year to adjust to my new situation and just get some energy back. I don't intend to stop doing it.
I'm sorry for making the winners of the contest wait, the commission for 2nd place is still in the works - I'm sorry, I've already put it at the top of my To-Do-list right behind the weekly BTOM page and am currently working on it at the highest possible speed!
The increased income thanks to my job has given me the opportunity to purchase a PC (only had a laptop before) with two very nice screens, so that I can now work more efficiently - more space for drawing program and references etc - honestly, once you've tried working with two screens you never want to miss it again! (I feel decadent)
New year resolutions... mmh. Let's see.
I think I want to get better at drawing in general, that's a life-time goal; I want to travel to Ireland and do hiking (in the planning); I'd like to start some new projects, maybe another webcomic, or an illustration project, or refocus on something old and work on it more seriously (I have a lot of stories in the back of my (metaphorical) drawers).
Tomorrow (I think) the book which I worked on illustrating for the greater part of 2013 will be published - in print and as e-book! It's called "Last Days of P-Ship" and is written by Gordon Stainforth. It features 30 illustrations by me - the biggest illustration project I've worked on so far. It was an amazingly interesting experience, and I learned a lot thanks to the collaboration with Mr Stainforth. If you're interested in Sci-Fi and liked books like "A Clockwork Orange" and "Brave New World", please check it out!
I think that's all atm. Have a nice day/week! back to work on the new BTOM page and commissions!

username change
Hi,
you may have noticed that I changed my username (again). Since I was using my real name, I felt compelled to change it, because I got married on Saturday and now wear a new name. :woohoo:
Me and my family are doing well, the little one is starting to crawl and already can pull herself up on her knees. I'm so proud.
Time for drawing has been even more scarce because of wedding preperations. Now, after I get all the administrative stuff done that comes with marrying someone and changing one's name I hope I'll find more time to draw again. I HAVE been drawing, but mostly for my patrons ^^;
I still haven't figured out a good mix between w
Patreon!
Hehey, how are you doing?
I'm fine, a bit shaky (literally) because of youknowwhat, but it's OK. I can manage. :)
The weather here feels like autumn, not summer... but since the heat makes my symptoms worse, I don't mind. ^^
So, I decided to give Patreon a try! Can't hurt, I thought. And it could really help, if there are some people interested in supporting me.
If you are one of those people, please visit my Patreon page here. I offer a 20$ tier that's limited to 5 patrons, who will get to request a sketch commission each month! So if you're interested in that, you might want to hurry. :)
Thank you!!!
Same old, same old
Hello!
Not much going on on my end that's different than before, but I thought I'd write a few sentences.
While the side effects of my last MS attack have almost completely vanished again (some may have noticed a post here and there, so my hands are fine again), I already (after only 1 1/2 months! which is really fucking short...) am suffering from the next one... nothing too serious or disabling this time though, fortunately. Just a bit of wobbly legs.
We'll decide on a treatment in 3 weeks after I got a new MRI, that's in two weeks. ~Le sigh~ My doctor wants to give me something strong, as we say in Germany, he wants to use "the Holzhamm
So this is my life right now
Hi there, friends.
I've been inactive for a long time so I thought i'd give you an update.
First, my baby is doing fine, she's just a bit over 4 months old now and she's the sweetest thing in my life right now. I love her so much.
taking care of her has reduced the time I've used to draw in the last two months to almost 0%, but I can't feel bad about that because she is so much more important.
Second, I've had another episode with my multiple sclerosis, which turned almost my whole body numb and tingling - no motoric problems, though, thank god. i got cortison treatment and now it's much better, but my torso and hands are still af
